    Professor Stephen York has worked for the past 27 years in Education, Legal Advocacy, and Substance Abuse/ Addiction Counseling and Anger Management Training.

    Professor Stephen has received Litigation Paralegal Training from Glendale University of Law, and has been trained as a Mediator. He has been involved in claims administration, adjusting and investigation, and has experience as a Paralegal/Advocate in Social Security Disability Claims Representation and Advocacy. Professor Stephen has extensive experience in education and has taught at the Elementary, Middle School, High School, Community College, Career College and Graduate Student Levels.

    He has been a faculty member in the MS in Education- Reading and Literacy Graduate Degree Program at Walden University where he was an online instructor in the program. Professor Stephen has also been an adjunct faculty member in the School of Education for Azusa Pacific University, a University Field Supervisor in Teacher Education and Special Education with California State University, Bakersfield, a TEFL Trainer with International TEFL Certification Programs in England, Canada and Japan, and an ESL Instructor at Long Beach City College and Compton Community College.

    He also has experience in Substance Abuse Counseling and holds California Certification as a Certified Professional Drug, Alcohol and Addiction Counselor and is certified as a Professional Anger Management Trainer. Prior to entering post-secondary education, he worked for over 16 years with the Los Angeles Unified School District in Los Angeles, California, where his areas of expertise were in the field of Bilingual Education, ESL and Special Education. He holds a double MA in TESOL and Education and a BA in Radio-TV-Film. Professor Stephen also holds California Teaching Certification in Multiple Subject K-12, Special Education and Administrative Services, and is a Licensed California Private Investigator.
